Romeo's ability to increase profitability across every segment of the production chain fits right in with our philosophy on breeding cattle. Romeo was the second most used bull in the Red Angus Breed in 2004. He combines calving ease, growth, maternal and carcass traits. Pedigree wise, he combines two of the most prolific cow families: Buffalo Creek and Beckton Red Angus. Romeo's first calves held their own and have the same explosive growth that he has. 2004 sale topper was Bieber Romero 9136 selling to Schuler Red Angus and Leachman of Colorado. We took this new picture this Summer when Romeo was out covering cows. Romeo's EPD's put him in the top 20% of the breed for Marbling, top 25% for BW, top 45% for WW, top 25% for YW and top 2% for Stayability. Romeo is leased to ABS and is their second high selling bull next to Cherokee Canyon. Romeo's dam is a very feminine, correct, Canyon daughter with a great deal of depth and breadth with a great udder. We are seeing those very same things in Romeo's first daughters. ABS GTS data indicates Romeo progeny are above average for volume and yet will reduce frame size.
