Jack Roberts maintains that all his bull customers will pick the Lancer 916 calves before picking other sires calves, including Cherokee Canyon sons and we’ve found out why in our Production Sales. His sons are really well received by our customers. They are thick, moderate calves with plenty of growth and lot of style. Lancer’s sire, Beckton Lancer T A664, had been putting sons on the map all over the country, however we feel that 916 is one of his best sons. The truth of the matter is Ron found Lancer while he was bull hunting on the way to Arizona. When he saw 916 in Roberts tough environment with several years of drought (which seems to be perpetual in New Mexico) he was immediately impressed with the calves and 916. Jack reports that the udders on the daughters are fantastic. 916 is in the top 40% of the breed for BW, top 20% for YW, and the top 15% for Marbling.
