Montoya is the one of the leading sons of Rambler and has seen some heavy use at Bieber Red Angus Ranch the last couple of years. The breeding program is working when the sons are superior to the sire. Montoya's granddam is an outstanding cow out of one of the top females to sell at our 2000 female production sale to Lonker's. His dam Tina 7375 has a MPPA of 108. Montoya's first calf crop gives every indication they are going to be excellent for growth. His half brother, sired by Canyon Hawk, sold in 2004 at the Midland Bull Test for $9,000 and is now working in Ed Lloyd's herd in ND. Montoya's EPD's are in the top 15% of the breed for YW, top 25% for Milk, top 30% for TM, top 2% for Stayability, and top 40% for Marbling. Montoya has produced some really good daughters and one has had a great run as a show heifer in Michigan for Lindley Harrington.
