Boone 8000 is the choice if you want moderate and muscular calves. If we had just listened to our own data we would have known that this was a bull that we should have been using hard. Dad drug Don Trimmer up to look at him in 2001 and Accelerated Genetics bought him for a pittance of what this bull is really worth. He scanned near the top for marbling with a 122 ratio. He is very moderate framed and has great muscle. His calves did really well this year and we believe that they will be higher REA than what he currently indicates when we get more ultrasound and slaughter data. He is in the top 15% of the breed for BW, and top 10% for WW and YW. He is also in the top 40% of the breed for Marbling. His dam was a very thick cow that we never saw in poor flesh. We have mated him to a lot of cows and expect that his progeny will be moderate, muscular and very attractive.
