 Mother Nature did her best to dampen spirits and the sale had to be postponed on March 1 st and almost again on April 11 th . Despite the weather and road conditions, buyers showed their determination and purchased many great genetics. DVAuction registered over 450 bidders and 28 interested individuals listened on the conference line. In the end, 116 buyers from 15 states purchased 165 lots.
The high selling Coming 2 was Lot #8 , BIEBER LANCER 10437 for $7,500 going to Harrison Ranch in SD. Another high selling Two was Lot #15 , BIEBER VACATION 10393, going to Schmig Farms, also from SD, for $6,000.
The Red Angus yearling bulls started fast and furious with the high seller being Lot #37 , BIEBER KADOKA 10762, going to Harrison Ranch in SD for $9,500. Select Sires purchased an excellent addition to their line-up with Lot #51 , BIEBER CHANCELLOR 10784, for $8,000. Selling for $6,000 were Lot #38 , BIEBER WAKPALA 10772, who will be traveling to Broseco Ranches, TX, and Lot #53 , BIEBER KENNEBEC 10767, who will be going to Hansmeier & Sons, Inc, SD. Hansmeier's also purchased Lot #49 , BIEBER KIOWA 10768, for $5,000. Wade & Suzie Tucker, SD, purchased Lot #42 , BIEBER CONATA 10788, for $ 5,250.
The top selling Black Red Angus Yearling bulls in this group was Lot #190 , BIEBER RITO 10766, selling to Hughes Cattle Co, KY for $4,000 and Lot #191 , BIEBER RITO 10760, selling to Charles Volk, ND for $2,200.
Red Angus Open Heifers were a hot commodity again this year. Nick Jessen of UT liked what he saw and purchased eight of these females with his top pick being Lot #226 , BIEBER FIREFLY 201S, selling for $1,800. Knaub Cattle Co from MT purchased three heifers with their top choice being Lot #243 , BIEBER FEATHER 223S, selling for $1,700.
Volume buyers this year included David Miller, NE who purchased six open heifers and two bulls. Steve Becker, SD purchased three Coming 2's. Kunz Northern Kross and Vander Linden Farms will each be taking three bulls home in SD. The Bieber's would like to thank their customers for the support that they have received throughout the years.
